The way, the truth, the life

On the night Jesus was arrested, his disciples were blissfully unaware of what was about to go down. Before those events began to unfold, Jesus sat down to dinner with them, and offered them words of warning, hope, encouragement, and instruction. It was a mysterious and disconcerting conversation. But in the long-run, Jesus' words that night would become a source of clarity and comfort and confidence for the disciples. And they can offer the same to us, when we discover we've followed Jesus into mysterious and disconcerting places.
