All Is Not Lost: Messiah

Sermon Summary

One day, Jesus is in Jericho where he heals Bartimaeus, greets Zacchaeus, and tells the crowd a parable about a nobleman who wants to be king. The next day, that same crowd proclaims that God has sent a king, as they accompany Jesus on his ride into Jerusalem. They believe that Jesus, once he’s crowned, will use the power and authority of his kingship to restore a rightness that has been broken for long generations. But how well do they know what kind of king he would be? And how well do they understand the nature of their relationship to him?
