Reconciliation: Siblings

Returning to the story of the Prodigal/Lost Son, we turn our attention to the older son, who is incensed to hear that his brother has returned and that his father has welcomed him with open arms. We do not get to see their encounter and we do not know how the older son chose to treat his brother. But in his exchange with their father, we hear him explain in his own words why he welcomed his younger son home—and why the only right thing for the older son to do is to follow his father’s lead.
